Air Force Releases 2011-12 Women's Swimming & Diving Schedule

    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's swimming & diving released its 2011-12 schedule, announced today by head coach Casey Converse. The Falcons open its regular season Oct. 8 at New Mexico.

    Air Force opens its newly refurbished Cadet Natatorium Oct. 15 against Nebraska-Omaha. The following two weekends also have AFA hosting meets against Northern Colorado, Oct. 21 and against Adams State, Colorado Mines and Mesa State, Oct. 28.

    The Falcon divers will travel to the USC Invitational in Los Angeles, Nov. 4-5, as well as the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., Nov. 18-20.

    The swim team opens November at the Hour of Power Relay, hosted by Colorado College on Nov. 8. That weekend, the Falcons travel to Wyoming on Nov. 11. The month concludes with the swim team heading to the Houston Cougar Invitational, Nov. 17-19.

    Several Falcons will compete at the U.S. Nationals, Dec. 1-3 in Atlanta, Ga. After the rest of the month off, the Falcons return to action Jan. 14 in Grand Junction, Colo.

    The swim team will compete at the Incarnate Word Invitational Jan. 27-28, while the divers will host the Falcon Invitational that same same weekend at the Academy.

    The Falcon swim team wraps-up Mountain West Competition Feb. 4 at Colorado State. The diving team will host Utah Feb. 10 to wrap up its regular season.

    The MW Championships, slated to be held Feb. 22-25, will once again take place in Oklahoma City, Okla. Shortly thereafter, the swimmers will head to the Ohio State Grand Prix in Columbus, Ohio, March 9-11. The NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals are slated that same weekend at the Academy. The NCAA Championships are March 15-17, in Auburn, Ala.
