Air Force Women's Swimming & Diving Announces 2012-13 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Nine home events highlight the 2012-13 Air Force women's swimming and diving schedule, announced today by head coach Casey Converse. The Falcons hold the Blue/Silver scrimmage Sept. 28, then open the season hosting New Mexico on Oct. 5. In addition, Air Force will host the 2013 NCAA Zone E Diving Regional.

The Falcons open the season with five events in October, including three at the Cadet Natatorium. After the opening dual at New Mexico, the Falcons travel to Las Cruces, N.M. on Oct. 13 to swim at New Mexico State. The Falcons then host Nebraska-Omaha on a Monday night, Oct. 15. Air Force closes out that weekend with the men's team, hosting a four-way with Colorado College, Colorado Mesa and Colorado Mines. The Falcons close out October on the 26 at Northern Colorado.

Air Force has four events in November, beginning with home meets against Idaho on Nov. 2 and Wyoming on Nov. 10. The Falcons will then participate in the Hour of Power Relays Nov. 13 at Colorado College. Air Force wraps up their fall slate with the three-day Houston Invitational, Nov. 15-17, in Houston, Texas.

After the winter break, the Falcons return to action Jan. 11-12 at the Mesa Duals in Grand Junction, Colo. Air Force then hosts a two-day, four-way Jan. 18-19, hosting North Dakota, Seattle and Wyoming. January closes out with AFA taking part in the Incarnate Word Invite, Jan. 25-26 in San Antonio, Texas.

After a Feb. 2 dual at home against Colorado State, the Falcons look to close out the regular season strong at the 2013 Mountain West Swimming & Diving Championships, Feb. 20-23 in San Antonio.

After conference, several members of of the team will swim in the Colorado Senior Open, March 1-3 in Denver.

Air Force will also host the 2013 NCAA Zone E Diving Regionals, March 14-16.

The NCAA Championships closes out the season, March 21-23 in Indianapolis, Ind.
