Air Force sophomore Genevieve Miller to swim at USA Nationals

    U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force sophomore Genevieve Miller will swim in the Phillips 66 USA Swimming Nationals which begin today at the William Woollett, Jr., Aquatics Complex in Irvine, Calif.

    Miller will compete in the 400 free, 800 free and 1500 free events today. A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Miller set six Academy school records at the Mountain West Swimming Championships this past season and was the conference champion in 500 and 1650 free, becoming Air Force's first two-time conference champion in swimming. She also became the first Falcon swimmer to compete in the NCAA Championships since 1997, swimming in both the 500 and 1650 free events.

    Miller's first event will be the 800 free which is scheduled to begin at 2:45 PT today, Aug. 6. Miller will also swim the 400 and 1500 free events, but times for those events have not yet been posted. --30--
