Air Force Women's Swimming Announces Class of 2013

    USAFA, Colo. -

    Nine athletes comprise Air Force’s incoming women’s swimming Class of 2013, as announced by head coach Casey Converse. The latest group of Falcons, described by Converse as one of the strongest classes in the past five years, arrived at the Academy today.

    “We expect that the class of 2013 will make an immediate impact on our program,” said Converse. “The experiences and opportunities awaiting these young women as athletes and members of the Air Force are second to none in the NCAA. We are happy that each of them has accepted their appointment to the Academy and look forward to a great four years with them.”

    Listed below is the complete incoming class of 2013:

    Shelley Cave, Athens, Ga. — Distance Freestyle
    Haley Holcombe, Atlanta, Ga. — Butterfly/IM
    Aubree Maricel, Portland, Ore. — Butterfly/IM/Distance Free
    Rosalie Mayou, Wichita, Kan. — Breaststroke
    Lauren McGuire, Atlanta, Ga. — Sprint Freestyle
    Rachel Roberts, Covington, Ky. — Distance Free/IM
    Shelby Schaefer, Sacramento, Calif. — Sprint Freestyle
    Alex Trobe, Pittsford, N.Y. — Distance Freestyle
