Genevieve Miller Qualifies for NCAAs

Freshman Genevieve Miller of Air Force women's swimming & diving has qualified to compete in the 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, held March 20-22 in Minneapolis, Minn. Miller, the Mountain West Champion in the 500 and 1650 yard freestyle, will compete at the championships in both of those events.
The NCAA released the list of qualifiers on Wednesday, March 5.
The Winston-Salem, NC, native is the first women's swimmer in Academy history to win two conference titles in the Mountain West era. Miller set school records in the 200 free (1:48.45), 500 free (4:45.13), 1000 free (9:49.86) and 1650 free (16:19.17). She was also part of the school record 400 free relay (3:22.63) and 800 free relay (7:17.34).
Miller is Air Force's first NCAA Championships participant since Connie Cann swam the 100 butterfly in 1997.
