Three Falcons Named To MW All-Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Team

    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's swimming & diving placed three athletes on the 2012-13 Mountain West Women's Swimming & Diving All-Conference Team. All-Conference selections are awarded to the top eight finishers in the individual events and top three relay team finishers at the MW Championships.

    Sophomore Kim Davis, senior Haley Holcombe and freshman Sara Menke earned all-conference honors.

    Davis, who broke nine school records at the MW Championships, earned all-conference honors in the 200 and 400 indivdual medley. Davis placed second in the 200 IM with a school-record time of 1:59.15. The Brentwood, Tenn., native placed third in the 400 IM with a school-record time of 4:13.43.

    Holcombe earned all-conference honors in the 200 fly. The senior placed seventh overall. Her prelims time of 2:02.01 is the second-fastest time in school history. Holcombe set the school 100 fly record at the Championships.

    Menke earned all-conference honors in the 1650 free. The freshman placed fifth in the event, setting two school records in the same swim. Her 1650 time of 16:40.77 set a new school record, as did her 1000 yard split of 10:02.05. Menke also set a school record in the 500 free earlier at the championships.
