Air Force freshman Genevieve Miller earned Air Force Athletics co-athlete of the week honors for competition during the week of Feb. 17-23. Miller won two conference titles and set six school records at the Mountain West Swimming & Diving Championships.
Miller led Air Force women's swimming & diving to a sixth place finish at the 2014 Mountain West Swimming & Diving Championships. Miller was crowned the conference champion in the 500 and 1650 yard freestyle events. Miller set four individual school records and was also part of two record-setting relays.
The Winston-Salem, NC, native is the first women's swimmer in Academy history to win two conference titles in the Mountain West era. Miller set school records in the 200 free (1:48.45), 500 free (4:45.13), 1000 free (9:49.86) and 1650 free (16:19.17). She was also part of the school record 400 free relay (3:22.63) and 800 free relay (7:17.34). Air Force's sixth place finish was its best since 2003 and the second-best ever in the MW era.
