Falcons Head To 2014 Mountain West Swimming & Diving Championship

    Air Force heads to the 2014 Mountain West Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship, Feb. 19-22, at the Palo Alto College Aquatic Center in San Antonio, Texas.

    Action kicks-off Wednesday with a the 200 yard medley and 800 freestyle relays and the 1-meter springboard diving.

    Thursday will feature three individual swimming events, the 500 free, 200 individual medley and 50 free. In addition, the 3-meter springboard diving and the 200 free relay will conclude action Thursday.

    Friday has five individual events, the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 free, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke. Friday action concludes with the 400 medley relay.

    Saturday caps the meet with five individual swims, the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 1650 free. In addition, the platform diving and the 400 free relay closes out the championships.

    Air Force enters the championship picked to finish eighth out of 10 teams competing, according to the pre-championship coaches’ poll. The Falcons enter the week with the fastest times in the 500 and 1650 free by freshman Genevieve Miller and the 400 medley by junior Kim Davis.
