UNLV out-duals Falcons in Las Vegas
Feb. 11, 2002 The UNLV men and women's swimming and diving teams defeated Air Force Saturday in a dual meet in Las Vegas. The Rebels' women were 139-103 winners while the men defeated the Falcons, 140-99. John Dayton led the Falcons, winning the 50-yard freestyle (25.12). Paul Brehm added a victory in the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.38) while Brady Lindberg took first in the three-meter diving (222.0). For the women, Air Force was led by Andrea Hyma, who won the 50-yard freestyle (25.12). The Falcons swept the diving. Cuffy Hulse won the one-meter (201.82), while Jessica Williams took the three-meter (223.05).
The Air Force men's team falls to 6-4 while the women fall to 6-7 in dual meets this season. The Falcons are back in action Feb. 27 to March 2 in the Mountain West Conference championships in Oklahoma City, Okla.
