Air Force Women Fall to Northern Colorado

Greeley, Colo. - Led by a pair of victories from junior Jane Hwang (Irvine, Calif.), the Air Force women's swimming and diving team suffered a 209-82 loss to Northern Colorado Friday evening at the Butler-Hancock Athletic Center. With the loss, the Falcons fall to 2-5 on the season.
Hwang took first place in both the 200 freestyle and 200 IM. She clocked in at 1:59.29 in the 200 free, while recording a mark of 2:12.10 in the 200 IM. In addition, Hwang placed second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:33.25.
Also winning for the Falcons was freshman Jessica Rodgers, who finished first in the 50 freestyle with a mark of 25.60. Rodgers added a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly, clocking in at 1:00.43. Meanwhile, freshman Kaeli Kluesner (Denver, Colo.) took second place in the 200 back, recording a time of 2:13.99.
Betsy Scarberry (Fr., Fairborn, Ohio) notched a pair of third-place finishes in the 500 and 1000 freestyle, while Katelyn Hunter (So., La Crescent, Minn.) and Becky Gleason (So., Ballwin, Mo.) finished third in the 100 back and 200 fly, respectively.
The Air Force swimming and diving teams return to action Jan. 4. The women will participate in a dual meet at San Diego State, while the men will take on UC San Diego in dual action.
