    The Air Force women's swimming and diving teams fell in Mountain West Conference action to Colorado State and San Diego State in multiple dual meets in Fort Collins Saturday afternoon. The Falcons lost to CSU, 213-87, and SDSU, 161-137.

    Air Force secured the second and fifth spots in the 200 medley relay. The team of freshman Lindsey Kirchhoff, sophomore Carly Omizo, senior Sarah Crowell, and junior Karen Long finished second with a time of 1:49.43. Junior Lindsey Jansen, freshman Blair Leake, juniors Lara Styles and Andrea Hyma secured the fifth-place slot for the Falcons (1:52.15). In the 1000 freestyle, freshman Lauren White and junior Julienne White finished fourth (10:48.62) and fifth (10.51.72) respectively. Senior Carly Baxter took third in the 200 free event with a time of 1:57.90 while junior Jaymie Van Kooten took fifith at the 1:58.50 mark. Baxter also won the 100 free event for the Falcons at the 53.43 mark while Van Kooten and senior Julie Baker finished fifth and sixth respectively. Junior Michelle Hager took second in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 230.40.

     

     

    The Falcons are idle for the remainder of 2003 and return to action Jan. 3 at the CSCAA Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
