Air Force Women's Swimming & Diving Downed By Northern Colorado

    GREELEY, Colo. - The Air Force women's swimming & diving team dropped a dual meet at Northern Colorado, 165-133, Friday night. The Falcons (2-5) won seven events on the night, led by a pair of wins by junior Katharine Ernst and freshman Erin Bleyl.

    Ernst took first in both butterfly events, winning the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.81 and the 200 fly with a time of 2:15.87. Bleyl won the 200 free with a time of 1:58.24 and the 500 free with a time of 5:20.61.

    The Falcons also got wins from freshman Samantha Laughlin in the 100 backstroke and junior Cassie Fletcher in the 50 free. Laughlin won the 100 back with a time of 1:00.00 and Fletcher won the 50 free with a time of 24.71.

    Air Force also closed out the meet by winning ther 400 free relay. Flether, Bleyl, Alivia Berg and Hannah Cesare combined to win the 400 free relay with a time of 3:38.86.

    Freshman Moranda Hern was the Falcons' top diver, taking third in both the 1m (204.53) and 3m (170.93) springboard diving events.

    Air Force's next meet is Jan. 14 with a meet vs. Denver and UNLV in Denver.
