Air Force Women's Swimming & Diving Wraps Up Competition At Georgia Tech Invite

    ATLANTA, Ga. - The Air Force women's swimming & diving team concluded action Sunday at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational by taking 12th at the GT Aquatic Center. Freshman Erin Bleyl led Air Force by cracking the schools' all-time top-10 mark in the 200 yard backstroke.

    Bleyl took 35th in the 200 back to lead the Falcons. Her time of 2:06.19 was the fifth-fastest time in school history. Fellow freshman Liz Harrison followed in 49th place with a season-best time of 2:12.45.

    Air Force's best overall event was the 1650 freestyle. Freshman Ashley Crowe had the Falcons' highest finish on the day, taking 28th with a time of 17:47.22. Classmate Michelle Kuyper followed in 30th place, with a time of 18:01.98.

    In the 100 free, freshman Alivia Berg led the Falcons with a 41st place finish. Berg swam a time of 52.77. Bleyl also swam the 100 free, finishing 58th with a time of 53.81.

    Sophomore Katrina Castellanos was Air Force' top performer in the 200 breaststroke, finishing 33rd. Castellanos swam a season-best time of 2:25.34. Junior Rosie Mayou followed in 47th with a season-best time of 2:27.06.

    In the 200 butterfly, junior Katharine Ernst led the way by finishing 34th. Ernset swam a season-best time of 2:07.99. Freshman Gabby Aranda followed in 43rd with a season-best time of 2:09.11.
