Air Force Women's Swimming & Diving Falls At TCU, 148-129

    FORT WORTH, Texas - Air Force women's swimming & diving team dropped a 148-129 dual meet at TCU Friday at the TCU URC Natatorium. The loss dropped the Falcons to 2-4, 0-4 on the season.

    Air Force took first in 6-of-16 events. Freshmen Samantha Laughlin and diver Moranda Hern led the way with a pair of wins each.

    Laughlin set season high's and cracked the Academy top-10 in both the 100 and 200 yard backstroke events. Laughlin won the 100 back with a time of 58.32 and the 200 back with a time of 2:07.47. Both are seventh-fastest times in school history.

    Hern took first in the 1-meter springboard with 209.55 points. She also won the the 3-meter springboard with 227.25 points.

    Sophomore Katrina Castellanos also got a win for the Falcons, placing first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:31.37.

    The Falcons also won the 200 free relay. The group of Alison Ceranski, Hannah Cesare, Cassie Fletcher and Laughlin combined to win with a time of 1:39.75.

    Air Force returns to action Nov. 19-21 at the Georgia Tech invitational.
