Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Air Force diving team completed day one competition at the 2011 Trojan Diving invitational, hosted by USC, on a cold and rainy Friday (Nov. 4) at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium. Sophomore Alex Pecci led the way for the Falcons, reaching the men's 3-meter championships.

In the prelims, Pecci took eighth-place with 265.90 points to reach the championship round. Pecci placed eighth in the finals with 225.75 points. Pecci was also Air Force's top diver in the platform, taking sixth place with 231.10 points.

Junior Brent White also dove well for the Falcons, placing 13th in the 3-meter with 240.10 points and 11th in the platform with 186.30 points.

On the women's side sophomore Moranda Hern led the way for the Falcons. Hern placed 18th in the 3-meter with 190.00 points and 12th in the platform with 157.55 points. Freshman Lainie Long followed Hern by placing 20th in the 3-meter with 185.70 points and 13th in the platform with 143.50 points. Sophomore Rachel Kennedy also dove well for the Falcons, placing 24th in the 3-meter with 161.05 points.

The event concludes Saturday with men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter beginning at 10 a.m.
