    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force women's swimming & diving team earned a dual meet win against Idaho 169-131 Friday night at the Cadet Natatorium. The Falcons won 9 of 16 events and improved to 6-2 on the season.

    The Falcons were led by junior Samantha Laughlin and freshman Sara Menke, who combined to win four individual events. Laughlin won four events on the day, as she was also on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relay groups.

    Air Force opend and closed out the meet by winning both relay events. The winning 200 medley relay group consisted of Laughlin, Kim Davis, Haley Holcombe and Heather Ireland. The winning 400 free relay group of Erin Bleyl, Ireland, Laughlin and Hannah Cesare swam a winning time of 3:35.56.

    Menke won the 500 (5:09.50) and 1000 free (10:43.81) to lead the way in the distance events. Laughlin won the backstroke events, winning the 100 (58.51) and 200 back (2:08.13).

    Air Force also got wins by Ireland in the 50 free (24.80), Cesare in the 100 free (53.02) and Davis in the 200 breast (2:25.73).

    Sophomore Lainie Long and freshman Jessica Horn were AFA's top divers. Long placed fourth in the 1m with 229.43 points and Horn placed second in the 3m with 243.08 points.

    The Falcons return to action next Saturday, Nov. 10, hosting Wyoming with the men's team.
