U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force women’s swimming and diving team dropped a dual meet against Wyoming, 173-122, Saturday, Oct. 28,in Laramie, Wyo.

The meet opened with the Falcons taking second in the 200 medley relay as the team of Emma Strom, Mollie Bushelman, Elise Hart and Lydia Knutson posted a time of 1:46.96.

Jinan Andrews won the 100 free (51.97) and was second in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.78).

Freshman Kylie Stromko was second in both the 100 backstroke (58.40) and 200 back (2:08.14).

Mollie Bushelman was third in the 100 breast (1:07.48) while Heidi Schwellin was second in the 200 breast 2:26.88.

Air Force took the top two spots in the 200 fly as Jessie Wierzbicki won (2:07.97) and Jayden Glover was second (2:14.26). Lydia Knutson was second in the 50 free (23.97)

In 1-meter diving, Eve Fowler was third with 224.93 while Kayla Wofford was fourth 221.70. Wofford was fourth in the 3-meter 236.25 and Fowler was fifth 216.68.

In the 100 fly, Wierzbicki was second (57.89) Esther Min (58.22) was third and Elise Hart was fourth (58.90).

Air Force took the top three sports in the 200 IM as Strom won (2:14.06), Schellin was second (2:17.85), Megan Simpson was third (2:18.01

Air Force won the final event of the meet as the team of Andrews, Winnie Chen, Bushelman and Lydia Knutson swam a time of 3:31.94 in the 400 free relay.

“Wyoming came out really strong today,” head coach Colleen Murphy said. “Our team really stepped up and we had some great in-season best times. I was very impressed that we stayed in the meet and am very proud of our team. We are in a great spot as a team. We have been training and racing hard.”

Air Force travels to Arizona for a pair of dual meets against Northern Arizona (Nov. 3) and Grand Canyon (Nov. 4).
