The Falcons sit in eighth place with 193 points. Boise State the the overall lead with 477 points.
Junior Kim Davis was Air Force's top performer, taking third place in the 400 individual medley for the second-straight season. Her finals time of 4:16.11 was good enough for a NCAA `B' cut time.
A pair of freshmen set school records in the individual events. Genevieve Miller, winner of the 500 free yesterday, set a new school record in the 200 free, winning the consolation finals and taking ninth overall with a finals time of 1:48.45.
The Falcons other individual school record came in the 100 breast as Kira Schlosberg placed sixth. Her prelim time of 1:02.21 is a new school record.
Air Force set its fourth relay record in three days with the 400 medley relay. The group of Sam Laughlin, Schlosberg, Gabrielle Aranda and Hannah Cesare smashed the previous record by over three seconds, finishing in a time of 3:42.99. The previous record was 3:46.41.
The Falcons also had thee other swims that cracked the school top 10 list in the 200 free. Sophomore Sara Menke placed 14th in the 200. Her prelim time of 1:49.84 is the fourth-fastest time in Academy history. Sam Laughlin's prelim time of 1:50.95 is the seventh-fastest time. Senior Hannah Cesare's prelim time of 1:51.60 is the eighth-fastest mark in AFA history.
Laughlin was Air Force's top swimmer in the 100 back, nearly missing her own school record. Laughlin placed 13th with a finals time of 55.31.
The final day of the four-day championships resumes tomorrow. The 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 1650 free, platform diving and 400 free relay will take place beginning at 11 a.m. CST.
