Air Force Women's Swimming & Diving Falls at Colorado State

    Final Stats

    FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Air Force women's swimming & diving team dropped a 175-125 dual meet at Colorado State Saturday at Moby Pool. The loss drops the Falcons to 11-3 on the season.

    Air Force took first in 6-of-16 events. Sophomore Erin Bleyl led the Falcons with three first-place finishes. Freshman Kim Davis followed with a pair of wins.

    Bleyl won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.55 and the 500 free with a time of 5:08.73. Davis won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.83 and the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:09.79. Senior Katharine Ernst also won an event for AFA, taking first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.70.

    The Falcons closed out the meet with a win in the 400 free realy. Bleyl, Heather Ireland, Hannah Cesare and Cassie Fletcher swam a time of 3:34.33 to win.

    Freshman Lainie Long and sophomore Moranda Hern led the Falcon divers. Long led Air Force with a fourth-place finish in the 1m diving with 233.78 points. Hern took third in the 3m diving with 253.43 points.

    Air Force returns to action Feb. 24 at the Mountain West Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla.
