Falcons Top NMSU, Northern Colorado In Triangular

U.S.A.F.A., Colo.- The Air Force women's swimming and diving teams defeated New Mexico State and Northern Colorado in a triangular meet Saturday afternoon in the Cadet Gymnasium's Natatorium. The Falcons topped New Mexico State, 71-68, and downed Northern Colorado, 177-100. New Mexico State defeated Northern Colorado 161-121. Junior Sarah Thilo won the 1000-yard freestyle (10:40.74) for Air Force, followed by sophomore Julienne White who finished second (10:55.11). Junior Carly Baxter took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.29. Senior Emily Heidgerd won the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.61) and sophomore Robin Herndon finished second (1:03.15).
Air Force improves to 13-5 overall after Saturday's meet. The falcons will be in action again January 24 at Brigham Young University.
