Falcon Women Take Second at USD Relay Meet

    SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Air Force women's swim team took second out of three teams at the 2014 University of San Diego Relay Meet, Saturday afternoon at the USD Sports Center Pool. The Falcons scored 213 points while San Jose State posted 277 and USD 165.

    In the 10-event meet, the Falcons came away with second place finishes in three events. The Falcons took second in the 400 yard medley, 3x500 freestyle and the 400 free relay.

    In the 400 medley relay, the group of senior Sam Laughlin, freshman Kira Schlosberg, senior Gabbrielle Aranda and junior Kim Davis swam a time of 4:01.45. In the 3x500 free relay, the group of freshman Genevieve Miller, sophomore Sara Menke and freshman Emeline Lochmaier swam a time of 15:39.75. The 400 medley relay of Laughlin, Miller, senior Hannah Cesare and Aranda swam a time of 3:36.16.

    The Falcons placed third in the 3x100 butterfly, 3x100 backstroke, 3x100 breaststroke, 800 free, 500 free and 400 medley relays.

    Air Force returns to action Jan. 17-18, hosting Northern Colorado, North Dakota and Seattle in a two-day, four-way dual meet with the men's team.
