McDowell and Tatarek Named To 2004 MWC Championship All-Tournament Team


    SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- Air Force senior Elaine Tatarek and junior Raegan McDowell were named to the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Championship All-Tournament team. The two forwards played key parts in helping the Falcons make it to the semifinals of the conference championships.
    Tatarek, a team co-captain, scored the first goal in the Falcons 2-1 win over BYU in their opening round game at the championships. Tatarek was also named Second-Team All-MWC for the season.
    McDowell, a Missoula, Mont., native scored the game-winner in the win over BYU, giving Air Force its first win ever over the Cougars.
    The Falcons put two players on the MWC Championship all-tourney team for the first time ever.
    Air Force concluded the 2004 season with a 4-13-2 record with its 2-0 loss to San Diego State in the semifinals.
