PROVO, Utah - Air Force midfielder/defender Rachael Emory was named to the 2007 All-Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Team at its pre-championship banquet in Provo, Utah.

Emory, a Wagoner, Okla., native was named to the second team for the second year in a row. The junior appeared and started in all 18 matches for the Falcons. She was second on the team with two goals and an assist for five points.

Senior forward Katie Carney of UNLV and junior forward Tamika Wilson of Wyoming garnered MWC Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors, while San Diego State freshman goalkeeper Aubree Southwick earned the MWC Defensive Player of the Year award. Southwick was also selected as the MWC Freshman of the Year, and UNLV coach Kat Mertz collected MWC Coach of the Year accolades for the first time at the helm of the program. UNLV won its second regular-season women's soccer championship this year.

BYU and UNLV each had three players named to the all-MWC first team, while Utah and San Diego State each had two first-team honorees. Wyoming also earned one first-team slot.

Wilson earned the honor after leading the league in points (11), goals (5) and game-winning goals (3). Southwick earned MWC Defensive Player and Freshman of the Year honors as she led San Diego State to its best conference finish since 2000, posting a league-leading five shutouts and a goals-against average of 0.41.
