Murphy Named To Capital One Academic All-District women's soccer team

    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior forward Bridgett Murphy was named to the Capital One Academic All-District women's soccer team for the third straight year, released today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Murphy earned second-team District VII honors for Div. I programs.

    Murphy, a native of Melbourne Beach, Fla., is a three-time Mountain West Conference All-Academic honoree and four-time All-Mountain West selection. The English major currently maintains a 3.49 grade-point average.

    Murphy tied for the team-lead with five assists and ranked second in goals (4) and points (13). The senior appeared in 65 career games, starting 62. Her 40 career-points ranks eighth all-time at the Academy, her 10 assists are sixth. She also scored 15 career goals.
