Air Force Hosts Colorado State and Wyoming
Air Force opens Mountain West play, hosting Colorado State and Wyoming in a pair of home matches this weekend, Sept. 22-24. The Falcons host Colorado State on Friday, Sept. 22 and Wyoming on Sunday, Sept. 24. Free video stream and stats will be available for the matches.

Last Time Out
Air Force was off from competion last weekend. The Falcons lost 1-0 to Army West Point and won 2-1 over McNeese during the weekend of Sept. 8-10.

The Falcons lost to Army despite a 19-4 advantage in shots attempted. In the McNeese match, the Falcons broke up a 1-1 tie with a second-half goal by Kaitlyn Cook for the win.

Air Force is 3-1 in its last four matches.

Series History vs. Colorado State
- Air Force is 2-1-1 all-time against Colorado State.
- The Falcons first played Colorado State in 2013.

Last Year vs. Colorado State
Air Force women’s soccer played to a 1-1 tie at Colorado State at the Lagoon in Fort Collins on Oct. 9, 2016.

Air Force led early with a goal in the fourth minute by senior Ashley Greco. It was her second goal in as many games for the Falcons. Assisting on the score was senior Alison Skidmore.

Colorado State tied the match up in the 74th minute. Kaija Ornes converted a penalty kick to tie the match up.

Air Force held a 17-12 advantage in shots and 9-7 on corner kicks.

Sophomore Jennifer Hiddink had two saves in goal for the Falcons. Skidmore and senior Kristina O’Sullivan had three shot attempts each.

Series History vs. Wyoming
- Air Force is 7-13-1 all-time against Wyoming.

Last Year vs. Wyoming
Air Force women’s soccer dropped a 4-2 contest at Wyoming at the Madrid Sports Complex in Laramie, Wyo. on Oct 7, 2016.

Air Force could not hold an early 2-0 lead as Wyoming scored four unanswered goals.

The Falcons stuck for the first score in the eighth minute on senior Ashley Greco’s goal. Sophomore Kaitlyn Cook sent in a deep pass from the left side line towards the middle of the box which was attempted to be cleared out by Wyoming. Greco was able to get to the loose ball and cleaned up on a shot to the lower left for her second goal of the season.

Air Force made it 2-0 at the 28:56 mark on sophomore Bre Robertson’s goal. Cook sent in a corner kick that came right back out to her. She lofted across the box to Robertson who put the header right back across to the left post for the score.

Wyoming began its comeback just 30 seconds later as Summer Halle scored the first of her three goals at the 29:24 mark. Halle tied the game with a goal in the 53rd and Michaela Stark gave the Cowgirls the lead with a goal in the 77th. Just one minute later, Halle put the match away with her hat-trick goal in the 78th,

The Falcons made the most of their offensive possessions, scoring of two of their five shot attempts. Sophomore Jennifer Hiddink had eight saves in goal for the Falcons.
