    The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 match to Ball State Friday night at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons drop to 0-4 on the season while the Cardinals improved to 1-2.

    Air Force hosts Texas and Ball State
    Air Force women's soccer hosts Texas and Ball State in non-conference action this weekend. The Falcons take on Texas on Friday, Sept. 13 and Ball State on Sunday, Sept. 15. Live video and stats will be available for both matches.

    Air Force to stream live video of all home matches
    Air Force soccer will be streaming live video of all home matches. In partnership with the Mountain West Digital Network, all nine Air Force women's soccer home matches will be available for free in HD quality video.

    Last Week
    Air Force split its two matches last weekend. The Falcons lost 1-0 at Northern Colorado on Friday but rebounded to defeat Grand Canyon 1-0 on Sunday. Sophomore Ally Swift scored in the 62nd minute to give the Falcons their first win of the season.

    2013 Falcons
    Air Force returns 13 letterwinners and six starters. The Falcons welcome 12 freshmen.

    2012 Recap
    Air Force went 5-9-3 and finished eighth in the Mountain West Conference in 2012.

    Senior midfielder Leah Bratt and senior defender Loren Catchpole are the team captains for the 2013 season.

    Stambaugh Building Upon AF Records
    Senior Kelly Stambaugh continues to build upon her lofty resume as goalkeeper at Air Force. A fourth-year starter, Stambaugh ranks amongst the top three in nearly every goalkeeping category at Air Force. She is currently the all-time leader in goals-against average (1.07). Stambaugh ranks second at the Academy in career shutouts (15) and third in wins (18), minutes (4,949) and saves (265).

    Greco Assisting On Every Score
    Freshman Ashley Greco has assisted on all three Air Force goals so far this season. Her three assists are already the most by a Falcon freshman since Stephanie Patterson had three in 2009.

    Scouting Texas
    Texas is 3-2-1 on the season after wins over Samford and Illinois State last weekend. Defender Brooke Gilbert leads the team with three goals scored. Abby Smith has a 0.80 GAA in goal.

    Scouting Ball State
    Ball State is 4-1 on the season after wins over Easter Illinois and Tennessee Tech last weekend. Forward Kelsey Wendlandt leads the team with three goals. Layne Schramm has logged the most minutes in goal for the Cardinals and has a 0.67 GAA.

    The Coaches
    Larry Friend (USAFA 1985) is 23-46-10 in his fifth year as the head coach at Air Force.
    Angela Kelly (North Carolina 1994) is 10-12-3 in her 2nd season at Texas and is 171-9623 in her 14th year as a head coach.
    Craig Roberts (Park 1997) is 28-27-10 in his 4th year at Ball State and is 62-55-22 in his 8th year as a head coach.

    Opponent Connections
    - Air Force junior midfielder Jackie Jacobs, Texas senior MF/F Gabby Zarnegar and Ball State junior D/M Cailey Starck are all graduates of Tesoro High School in Las Flores, Calif. Jacobs lists her hometown as Orange County, while Zarnegar hails from Mission Viejo and Starck is from Coto De Caza.
