    Falcons Drop 2-0 Contest At Colorado
    Air Force women's soccer dropped a 2-0 match at Colorado Sunday afternoon in a nationally televised game at Prentup Field. The loss dropped the Falcons to 4-2-3, while the Buffalos improved to 6-1-2.

    Air Force Travels To Colorado
    Air Force women’s soccer heads up the road to take on in-state rival Colorado this Friday, Aug. 30. Kickoff is 5 p.m. at Prentup Field in Boulder. Live video and stats will be available for the match.

    Last Week
    Air Force went 0-1-1 at the Montana Kickoff Invite to open the 2-13 season. The Falcons tied tournament host Montana 1-1 on Friday and lost 2-1 to TCU on Sunday. Freshman Noelle Heiser scored the game-tying goal Friday vs. Montana and junior Kylie Williamson scored the goal vs. TCU. Freshman Ashley Greco assisted on both scores.

    Air Force returns 13 letterwinners and six starters. The Falcons welcome 12 freshmen.

    Air Force went 5-9-3 and finished eighth in the Mountain West Conference in 2012.

    Senior midfielder Leah Bratt and senior defender Loren Catchpole are the team captains for the 2013 season.

    Stambaugh Building Upon AF Records
    Senior Kelly Stambaugh continues to build upon her lofty resume as goalkeeper at Air Force. A fourth-year starter, Stambaugh ranks amongst the top three in nearly every goalkeeping category at Air Force. She is currently the all-time leader in goals-against average (1.08). Stambaugh ranks second at the Academy in career shutouts (14) and third in wins (17), minutes (4,679) and saves (253).

    Scouting Colorado
    Colorado is 2-0 on the season after defeating Northern Colorado 3-0 and Colorado College 1-0 last weekend. Freshman forward Bree Hooks has scored all three goals for the Buffs this season.
