After a busy summer, the Air Force women's soccer team begins preparation for the 2010 season. The Falcons begin fall practices this Sunday, July 31, in preparation for its season-opener Aug. 20 vs. Colorado State-Pueblo.

The team's returning sophomores have spent the last few months participating in various summer programs like jump training, soaring, global engagement, and combat survival training. Air Force bases in California, Hawai'i, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, North Dakota and South Dakota, were home to the team's junior class during an Operation Air Force (OPS) program. In addition, a few cadets were able to participate in cross-cultural immersion programs in Egypt and Argentina. The team's upperclassmen also served as Cadets-In-Charge (CIC) during summer training programs for freshmen and sophomore cadets.

This week, the incoming freshmen finish their last week of basic cadet training (BCT), and will join the team on August 1, for preseason practices.

After two weeks of preseason training, the team will travel to the University of Colorado for a preseason scrimmage on Sunday, August 15.
