USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - A school-record 13 home matches highlight the 2005 Air Force women's soccer schedule, announced today by head coach Marty Buckley. The Falcons open the season August 26, at Northern Colorado.

The Falcons play eight home non-conference matches and will host the AFA Nike Invitational from Sept. 30-Oct. 2. The non-conference slate includes matches against Iowa (Aug. 28), Providence (Sept. 2), Central Michigan (Sept. 4), Colorado College (Sept. 21), St. Mary's (Sept. 23) and UC Davis (Sept. 25). Air Force concludes its '05 non-conference slate at the AFA Nike Invitational against Idaho State (Sept. 30) and Wright State (Oct. 2).

Air Force plays five home Mountain West Conference matches, hosting UNLV (Oct. 7), San Diego State (Oct. 9), TCU (New MWC member Sept. 21), New Mexico (Oct. 23) and Wyoming (Oct. 28).

The Falcons play seven matches on the road in 2005, including stops at the Montana Tournament from Sept. 9-11, in Missoula, Mont., and at the Toys for Tots Tournament in St. Louis, Mo., from Sept. 16-18. After opening the season at UNC, the Falcons take on Utah State (Sept. 11) and Boise State (Sept. 11) in Missoula and then Army (Sept. 16) and St. Louis (Sept. 18) in St. Louis.

The Falcons play just two conference matches on the road, taking on BYU (Oct. 13) and Utah (Oct. 15). Air Force will also participate in the 2005 MWC Women's Soccer Championships, held Nov. 2-5, in Las Vegas, Nev.
