    2009 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -The Air Force women's soccer team announced its 2009 Fall schedule today. The 17-game schedule features eight home games. Along with three scrimmages, the Falcons will play 11 home dates total.

"This is another challenging schedule for our team," head coach Marty Buckley said. "The home scrimmages will be a great warmup for our team, helping the veterans get back into the swing of things and giving us some opportunities to see what our newcomers can do. Our non-conference schedule has some high-caliber programs that will definitely help us prepare for an always-tough Mountain West slate to close out the year."

Air Force hosts three scrimmages in mid-August, taking on CSU-Pueblo Aug., 18, Colorado College, Aug. 21, and UCCS Aug. 23. The Falcons open regular season play at the Razorback/Adidas Classic, Aug. 28-30, in Little Rock, Ark., taking on host Arkansas and Missouri State.

The Falcons open its home slate Sept. 4 vs. Northern Colorado and Sept. 6 vs. New Mexico State. Air Force then heads to the Toys For Tots Invitational, Sept. 11-13, in St. Louis, Mo. The Falcons take on Army on Sept. 11 and an opponent to be determined on the 13th.

Air Force returns home Sept. 18-20, hosting Cal Poly and New Hampshire, then head off for its final road non-conference road trip, Sep. 25-27, at San Jose State and Pacific.

The Falcons open Mountain West Conference play with its final Friday game, Oct. 2, hosting Wyoming. With the new conference schedule format, AFA will play the rest of its games on Thursday and Saturdays.

Air Force hits the road, Oct. 8-10 at TCU and New Mexico. The Falcons then play the next three games at home, hosting UNLV, Oct. 15, and San Diego State, Oct. 17. Air Force's final home game will be against BYU on Oct. 24. The Falcons conclude the regular season at Utah on Oct. 31.

The MWC Championships takes place in Provo, Utah, Nov. 4-7, with BYU as the host institution.
