Air Force Women's Soccer Places 10 On Academic All-Conference Team

    Air Force had a record 10 women's soccer players named to the Mountain West Conference academic all-conference team for the 2003 season. Leading the way was junior defender Jennifer Ford, who was selected for the third time.

    Sophomore Amanda Cleland was honored for the second time. Newcomers to the team include senior J.J. Wolf, juniors Jennifer Rowland, Cookie Day and Elaine Tatarek. Sophomore Meredith Benson and freshmen Erin Fitzpatrick, Katherine Plichta and Lindsay Temes were also selected.

    The Falcons' previous record for most players on the team was six, set back in 1999 and 2000.

    To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor. A complete list of AFA players follows below.

    The Falcons finished the 2003 regular season with a 7-11-1 overall record and 1-5-0 mark in the MWC.
