Falcon Women's Soccer Places Five on Academic All-MW Team

    USAF ACADEMY, Colo.- The Air Force women’s soccer team placed five student-athletes on the Mountain West Conference Academic All-Conference Team for the Fall 2013 sports. Senior Kelly Stambaugh led the way with her fourth academic all-conference honor.

    A league-record 534 student-athletes were named to the fall 2013 Academic All-Mountain West team. Fall sports include men’s and women’s cross country, football, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball. The mark surpasses the previous Conference record of 409 fall semester honorees, set during the 2012-13 academic year.

    To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

    Air Force had 32 student-athletes garner academic all-conference honors during the fall.
