Air Force Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 To San Diego State in Overtime

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force women's soccer dropped a 1-0 Mountain West Conference match in overtime to San Diego State Sunday morning at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The loss dropped the Falcons to 6-9-3, 1-4 and improved the Aztecs to 9-6-3, 3-1-1.
Senior Cat Walker scored 59 seconds into overtime to lift San Diego State to the win. It was the second-consetive overtime loss to SDSU for the Falcons.
Kelsey Booth got into the box with the ball and passed to an open Walker in front of the net. Walker shot the ball to the lower-right post for the score.
Air Force struggled to get its offense going, with three shots total and one on goal. Senior forward Bridgett Murphy had AFA's lone shot on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Kelly Stambaugh had six saves in the loss for the Falcons.
Air Force wraps up the regular season next Saturday, Oct. 29, hosting Wyoming.
