Air Force Falls At #6 San Diego State

    SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Air Force women's soccer fell to #6 San Diego State, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at the SDSU Sports Deck. The loss dropped the Falcons to 5-8-3, 0-6, while the Aztecs improved to 16-1-1, 6-0.

    The Aztecs struck for three goals in the first 21 minutes of play and coasted to the win. Hannah Keane scored the first two goals, coming in the second and 21st minutes. Just 40 seconds after the second goal, Megan Jurado scored the third goal of the match.

    Air Force had six shots in the match. Sophomore midfielder McKenna Fox and senior forward Stephanie Patterson had two shots each to lead the Falcons.

    Junior Kelly Stambaugh had a career-high 12 saves in the loss. The 12 saves are the 6th-most in a game in Air Force history and the most since 2009.

    Air Force wraps up the 2012 season on Friday, Sept. 26, at Wyoming.
