USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 match to San Diego State Saturday night at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The loss dropped the Falcons to 2-13-1, 0-5 and improved the Aztecs to 9-3-5, 2-0-2.
Michaela DeJesus scored three minutes into the match for SDSU. DeJesus got to a deflected ball in the middle of the box and fired from 10 yards out for the score.
After a sluggish first-half, the Falcons offense got going, taking seven shots in the second half, compared to just two in the first. Sophomore Bridgett Murphy led the team with three shots, two on goal.
Sophomore Ariana Green had four saves for the Falcons at goalkeeper. Aubree Southwick had three saves in goal for the Aztecs.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Oct. 24, hosting BYU. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
