USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women’s soccer (7-5-3, 4-1-3 MW) dropped a 4-0 contest to San Diego State (7-7-2, 4-2-2 MW) in Mountain West action on Sunday afternoon at Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons suffered their first defeat in conference play.
The Aztecs scored goals in the fifth, 21st, 47th and 70th minutes. Chloe Frisch score the first goal at the 5:16 park on a shot to the right post. Aliyah Utush scored the second goal that deflected off a Falcon defender and into the net at the 21:09 mark.
Hailey Balma scored the third goal at the 47:24 mark off a pass from Utush in front of the net. Phoebe Leitch scored the fourth goal at the 70:21 mark.
The Falcons were held to six shots. Sophomore Sydney Rickert had Air Force’s lone shot on goal. Junior Jennifer Hiddink had three saves in goal for the Falcons.
Air Force returns to action Friday, Oct. 20, at Fresno State. Kickoff is set for 7 pm PT.
