    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 1-0 match to New Mexico in Mountain West action Sunday afternoon at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons dropped to 2-8-1, 1-2 and the Lobos improved to 6-8-1, 4-1.

    New Mexico scored the lone goal of the match 55th minute. Elba Holguin took a pass from the right side of the box from Madisyn Olguin and sent the ball in low under goalkeeper Kelly Stambaugh for the score.

    The game was a defensive battle as the teams combined for just eight shots. The Falcons had three shots in the match. Sophomore Ally Swift had two shots, one on goal. Sophomore Katie Case also had a shot. Stambaugh had one save in goal for AFA.

    Air Force returns to action Friday, Oct. 18, hosting San Jose State.
