USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 2-0 match to San Diego State in Mountain West action Friday night at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons dropped to 2-7-1, 1-1 and the Aztecs improved to 6-5-2, 4-0.
San Diego State scored both goals in the first half to roll to the win. Hannah Keane scored the first goal in the 15th minute with Kelsey Booth assisting. Morgan Darling scored the second goal in the 35th minute off a pass from Katie Perry.
Air Force had three shots on the night, one on goal. Sophomore Ally Swift had AFA's shot on goal. Senior Kaleigh Moses and sophomore Katie Cases also had shots for the Falcons. Kelly Stambaugh had seven saves in goal for Air Force.
Air Force played its first match in 14 days after having last weekend's games against Utah State and Boise State cancelled due to the government shutdown. The Falcons last played at Colorado State on Sept. 27.
The Falcons return to action Sunday, Oct. 13, hosting New Mexico. Kickoff is 11 a.m.
