Air Force Wins 1-0 at UNLV To Remain Unbeaten in MW Play

Air Force women's soccer (6-4-1, 3-0-1 MW) defeated UNLV (10-3-0, 2-2-0 MW), 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Johann Memorial Field in Las Vegas, Nev. Senior Brooke Rittmann scored the lone goal of the match in the 11th minute to keep the Falcons unbeaten in conference play.

Rittmann scored in the 11th minute off a pass from Kristen Shimkus for the lone goal of the match. It was Rittmann's team-leading fifth goal of the season and her third straight game with a score.

Junior Jennifer Hiddink recorded nine saves in goal and posted her third shutout of the season.

The Falcons withstood a 23-10 shot disadvantage to pull out the win.

It was Air Force's second-straight win at UNLV. The Falcons also set a program record for most consecutive unbeaten matches in a row in MW play.

Air Force, which is 6-1-1 over its last eight matches, looks to keep the momentum going next week with road matches at Boise State and Utah State.
