Air Force Drops MW Opener at Fresno State

    FRESNO, Calif. - Air Force women's soccer dropped its Mountain West opener at Fresno State, 3-0, at Bulldog Stadium Sunday afternoon. The loss dropped the Falcons to 5-3-3, 0-1, while the Bulldogs improved to 3-7-3, 1-0.

    Fresno State scored its first goal in the 19th minute with a goal by Callie Hancock. Shonice Myers then scored goals in the 67th and 71st minutes to put the game away.

    The Falcons had 10 shots on the day, with sophomore midfielder McKenna Fox attempting four shots. Kelly Stambaugh had three saves in goal for AFA.

    Air Force returns to action Friday, Oct. 5, hosting UNLV.
