Falcons Downed 4-0 At San Jose State

    SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 match at San Jose State Friday evening at Spartan Stadium. The loss dropped the Falcons to 2-7-1 and improved the Spartans to 5-4.

    After battling to a 0-0 tie at halftime, San Jose State erupted for four goals in the second -half.

    Kelsey Lord scored the Spartans first goal in the 49th minute. The game remained close until SJSU scored three goals in a two-minute span late in the game.

    Katie Bonadies scored at the 82:01 mark to make it 2-0 Spartans. Roxy Kamal then struck for a pair of goals at the 82:32 and 83:42 marks.

    The Falcons had seven shots in the game. Freshman Stephanie Patterson led the way with four shots, three on goal. Freshman Charity Blanton had five saves in goal.

    Air Force returns to action Sunday, Sept. 27, at Pacific. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m.
