USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 1-0 match to Drexel Sunday afternoon at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The loss drops the Falcons to 1-6-1 and improved the Dragons to 4-4-1.
Drexel scored the game-winning goal in the 64th minute. Colleen McDonald took a pass from Shyanne Kimbrough and scored from 15 yards out, head-on to the top of the net.
The loss featured several near-misses by the Falcons, who had 13 shots in the match. Air Force had two shots hit the cross bar in near-scoring opportunities.
Air Force wraps-up non-conference play and opens its Mountain West slate on Friday, Sept. 27 at Colorado State. Kickoff in Fort Collins is at 4 p.m.
