Air Force Downed By UTEP, 3-1, At Border Shootout

EL PASO, Texas - The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 match to UTEP Friday night at the Border Shootout Friday night at University Field. The loss drops the Falcons to 2-6 on the season while the Miners improved to 6-2.
Chelsea Winbush scored in the 10th minute off a pass from Tameka Sumter for the first goal of the match. UTEP extended its lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 22nd minute by Brittany Vaca.
The Miners put the game away with a goal in the 53rd minute as Melissa Desilets scored off a pass from Cara Nordin.
The Falcons return to action Sunday morning, Sept. 21, taking on Grambling State in the final day of action at the Border Shootout
