Air Force Drops 1-0 Match At Northern Arizona

    FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Air Force women's soccer team snapped a four-game unbeaten streak with a 1-0 loss at Northern Arizona Friday night at Lumberjack Stadium. The defeat drops the Falcons to 5-3-1 the season, while the Lumberjacks improved to 2-3-2.

    Kristi Andreasson scored the lone goal six minutes and thirty three seconds into the match. Andreasson headed-in the ball off of passes from Brenna Boies and Brandy Carr.

    Air Force had 11 shots, four on goal in the match. Falcon sophomore Stephanie Patterson took four shots and junior Bridgett Murphy had three. Northern Arizona had 13 shots, seven on goal.

    Freshman goalkeeper Kelly Stambaugh had six saves for the Falcons. Air Force dropped to 0-3 on the season when getting shutout.

    The Falcons return to action Sunday, Sept. 19, taking on Southern Utah in a neutral-site match in Flagstaff. Kickoff is 12 p.m.
