Falcons Drop 2-0 Contest At Colorado

    BOULDER, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 2-0 match at Colorado Sunday afternoon in a nationally televised game at Prentup Field. The loss dropped the Falcons to 4-2-3, while the Buffalos improved to 6-1-2.

    After a scoreless first half, Colorado got on the scoreboard with a goal in the 59th minute. The Buffs put the game out of reach with a second score in the 80th minute.

    Darcy Jerman scored the first goal for CU and Hayley Hughes scored the second.

    Air Force had eight shots in the match, four on goal. Senior Stephanie Patterson led the Falcons with three shots. Goalkeeper Kelly Stambaugh took the loss, recording four saves.

    The game was televised live on the Pac 12 Network.

    The Falcons return to action Friday, Sept. 21 hosting Sam Houston State.
