Falcons Fall To SEMO At Toys For Tots Tournament

    ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Air Force women's soccer team lost 2-0 to Southeast Missouri State Sunday morning at the Toys for Tots Tournament at Herrman Stadium. The Falcons fall to 1-3-2 on the season while the Redhawks improved to 3-2-1.

    Vanessa Hart scored four minutes into the match to put SEMO ahead 1-0. Courtney Alexander scored the second goal with three seconds left in the game with the assist from Hart.

    Air Force had eight shots in the game, four on goal. Juniors Corbin Sanford and Roni Yadlin had two shots, one on goal, each for the Falcons. Keeper Erin Wallace had one save in the match. The goals were Wallace's first allowed in four games, snapping a streak of 340scoreless minutes in front of the net.

    Sanford, Yadlin and sophomore Ashley Collins were named to the all-tournament team.

    Air Force returns to action Friday, Sept. 21, taking on Northern Iowa in the opening round of action at the Idaho State Tournament in Pocatello, Idaho.
