Air Force Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 at Northern Colorado on Friday

    GREELEY, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 1-0 match at Northern Colorado Friday evening at Jackson Field. The Falcons are 0-3-1 on the season, while the Bears are now 2-3.

    The lone score of the match came in the 32nd minute by UNC midfielder Chandler Guetz. Guetz took a pass from Ambree Bellin and scored off a header from six yards out.

    For the most part, the Falcons played the Bears evenly, as both teams tallied nine shots. Air Force held the shots on goal advantage, 6-3, and the corner kick advantage 7-5.

    Seniors Megan Dozier and Kaleigh Moses and freshman Maddie Lundberg had two shots each for the Falcons. Moses had a team-high two shots on goal. Senior Kelly Stambaugh had two saves in goal.

    After four straight road matches to start the season, the Falcons get to play their home-opener this Sunday, Sept. 8, hosting Grand Canyon. Kickoff is 12 p.m. Live video and live stats will be available for the match.
