Air Force Women's Soccer Drops 2-0 match at Colorado on Friday

    BOULDER, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 2-0 match at Colorado Friday evening at Prentup Field. The Falcons are 0-2-1 on the season, while the Buffaloes are now 3-0.

    Forward Anne Stuller scored a pair of goals late in the match to break up what was a closely battled contest. Stuller netted her first score in the 73rd minute and connected again in the 77th. Olivia Pappalardo assisted on the first score and Alex Huynh on the second.

    The Falcons came out strong to open the game, taking a 5-2 advantage in shots at halftime. Colorado responded in the second half by out-shooting AFA 9-1.

    Senior Leah Bratt led the Falcons with three shots, one on goal. Freshman Maddie Lundberg and Ashley Greco added shots on goal for AFA. Senior goalkeeper Kelly Stambaugh had three saves.

    Air Force returns to action Friday, Sept. 6, at Northern Colorado. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
