USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer (0-2) dropped a 2-1 match to North Dakota State (3-0) in double-overtime Friday night at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. Lauren Miller scored the game-winning goal for the Bison in the 103rd minute.

Miller accounted for both of NDSU's goals, scoring the first goal just four minutes in.

The Falcons fell on the losing end despite dominating the touches for most of the match. Air Force held a 26-15 advantage in shots and 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.

North Dakota State took the early lead when Miller was able to get to a 50-50 ball in front of the Falcon net. She was able to curl a shot to the right post for the score.

Eight minutes later, the Falcons responded with a score off a penalty kick. Junior Ally Swift was taken down in the 18-yard box and succesfully scored on the PK.

Air Force dominated the first-half with a 15-2 shot advantage, but could not find a second score.

Freshman Meghan Strang had three saves in goal. Freshman Brooke Rittmann had four shots, three on goal to lead the Falcons. Sophomore Kaylee Shalongo added two shots, two on goal.

Miller scored the game winner, following a deflected shot by punching the loose ball into the net at the 103:02 mark.

The two teams played in wet and slippery conditions due to rain and hail that fell prior to kickoff. The match started one hour and twently minutes late due to the lightning, rain and hail.

Air Force returns to action Friday, Sept. 5, hosting Northern Colorado.
