Air Force Battles Fairleigh Dickinson to 0-0 Tie

    TEANECK, N.J. - The Air Force women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Fairleigh Dickinson Sunday afternoon at University Field. The Falcons are now 2-1-1 on the season, while the Knights moved to (0-1-3).

    Junior goalkeeper Kelly Stambaugh notched her third shutout in four matches to start the season for AFA. Stambaugh had six saves on the day.

    The Falcons held the advantage in shots, 13-12, but FDU held the shots on goal advantage, 6-2.

    Sophomore forward McKenna Fox led the Falcons with three shots. Junior midfielder Kaleigh Moses and freshman forward Ally Swift added two shots.

    Air Force returns to action Friday, Aug. 31, hosting Eastern Washington for its Parent's Weekend match. Kickoff is 4:30 p.m.
